Purchase Reward Points Setup Guide

1. First, create two points pools in the Points Center

Create a "test" points pool and a "live" points pool, to keep test and live points from getting mixed up.

2. Create a "Purchase Reward" module and a "Points Redemption" module, and set up both

2.1 Key Purchase Reward settings

[Step 1] Based on your promo plan, set up receipt eligibility verification first. Click here to see how
[Step 2] In "Entry Eligibility," enable a login method (you need an identity so users can look back at their own points!)
[Step 3] In "Prize Editing," select Instant Win, add a prize, and set the prize type to promo points.
Adjust it to dynamic calculation based on your promo plan — points calculation rules can be based on total purchase amount, total item amount, or item quantity.
[Step 4] Redemption settings let you set a points expiry period based on your promo plan.

2.2 Key Points Redemption settings

[Step 1] In "Entry Eligibility," select the same login method used for Purchase Reward
[Step 2] Click "Prize Editing" to set up your prizes, and enter how many points each one costs to redeem
[Step 3] Start designing your points redemption flow~

3. Build your page

3.1 I want to embed the Points Redemption module on my Purchase Reward page

[Step 1] Open your Points Redemption promo, go to "Promo Sharing," find "Promo Widget," click "Generate Code," and copy the code.
[Step 2] Go back to your Purchase Reward promo, click Promo Pages, + Add page, find the spot where you want it, choose a Text Block, paste in the code, then click Preview — now you'll see both modules!

[Step 3] Finally, copy the URL of your Purchase Reward page and paste it back into Points Redemption's "Promo Sharing" > Promo Widget > page where widget is embedded.

3.2 I want to build a new page that combines both modules

[Step 1] From the dashboard, click Pages and create a new page.
[Step 2] Go back to your Purchase Reward and Points Redemption modules, copy each widget code into the page you created, then click Preview — now both modules appear on the same page!
[Step 3] Finally, copy the URL of the page you created and paste it back into both the Purchase Reward and Points Redemption modules, under "Promo Sharing" > Promo Widget > page where widget is embedded.

4. You may also want to add to your page

4.1 A points lookup link, so customers have a permanent way to check their own points history

[Step 1] Go to the Points Center and click Settings
[Step 2] Click the Points Lookup Widget, choose the same login method used in your points promo, then copy the link onto your page.
*If you have your own LINE Official Account or app, we also recommend adding a points lookup link to your rich menu, so customers can easily check their current points!

4.2 A prize lookup link, giving customers a permanent way to see which prizes they've redeemed while collecting points.

Go to the Prize Center and select the same login method as your promo to get this link.

Guide: redeeming points to play a prize game

  1. Choose a prize game, and in "Entry Eligibility":
-Enable login: select the same login method as your points promo
-Enable point deduction to enter: choose a points type and enter how many points to deduct
*Use test points during testing, and remember to switch to live points before going live!
-Enable multiple entries: turn this on or off depending on your promo plan.

    2. Choose to build a standalone page, or embed the widget on whichever page you prefer.

A few tips

  • Points Redemption requires enough points to test with, so head to the Points Center and manually grant yourself some points!

  • During testing, you're using test points — before your promo goes live, remember to "activate your live points pool" and switch every linked points pool over to it. Here's what you need to update:
    1. The prize type in Purchase Reward's Prize Editing

    2. The points pool for Points Redemption

    3. The points type used for point deduction in your points-redemption game
