How do I start setting up a Purchase Reward promo?
From the dashboard, click "Create Promo" and select "Purchase Reward."
Select which receipt types this promo will accept — you can select more than one. We recommend confirming which receipt types your participating retail channels actually use before choosing.

E-invoice only — eligibility verification features
Feversocial's receipt system pulls itemized receipt details from the Ministry of Finance, checks them against your rules, and determines whether that receipt meets the eligibility conditions you've set.
Item verification
Checks the item name keywords on the receipt. The system verifies whether a receipt meets your entry conditions based on the keywords you've set.Amount threshold
You can set a minimum spend amount for eligibility. For your own retail channel, you can verify against the receipt's total amount — but for a third-party channel, we recommend also turning on item verification, setting matching item keywords, and choosing item subtotal for the amount check, so the system only verifies the amount for the matching items.Date restriction
You can set an eligible date range for receipts.Channel restriction
You can match against the seller's tax ID, seller name, and address.

Item verification (name keywords)
You can check multiple item keywords across multiple item groups to verify eligibility
Item group
Click the "Item Group 1" field to enter your first product line's name. If a single promo covers multiple product lines, split them into separate groups.
Item relationship
Set the relationship between item groups to "AND" or "OR."
"AND": A good fit for cross-brand co-marketing promos — for example, "buy one tea egg AND one chicken breast" to enter a fitness-themed receipt promo.
"OR": A good fit for companies with multiple product lines or sub-brands — for example, a company that sells both coffee products and tea products, or a restaurant group with multiple brands where a purchase at any of its restaurants qualifies for entry.
Item keywords
Click
to enter setup mode, where you can set the item keywords that qualify for entry.
If the keyword relationship is "OR," you can add them all on the same row — type one keyword, press Enter, then add the next. For example: tea egg, soy milk, chicken breast, oat milk, milk — if the item name matches any one of these keywords, it qualifies for entry.
If the keyword relationship is "AND," click + Add Match Condition to add a second keyword group. We recommend splitting the brand name and the specific product-line keyword into two separate AND groups, for example:
* President AND soy milk — the item name must contain both "President" and "soy milk" to qualify.
** ROG AND keyboard, mouse, headset — the item name must contain "ROG" plus "keyboard" or "mouse" or "headset" to qualify.

[Item keywords]
💡 A quick tip on keywords:
For the system to verify your receipts correctly, remember to check uppercase/lowercase letters and full-width/half-width symbols when entering keywords — they must match exactly to pass verification.
If you're not sure exactly how a product name appears on the receipt, enter several possible variations to make sure entries go through smoothly!
Amount threshold
You can restrict entry by spend amount. The system offers three modes:
No restriction (default): The system doesn't check any amount
Receipt total: The system checks eligibility against the receipt's total amount
* A good fit for your own retail channel's receipt promos, since the receipt will only contain your own products, so you can reward based on the receipt total directly.Item subtotal: The system checks eligibility against the combined total of all matching items
* To use item subtotal for the amount check, you must also set up item verification keywords
** If your products are sold through various general retail channels, using item subtotal lets you make sure the reward amount only reflects your own products.
Date restriction
You can restrict entry to a specific receipt date range. Once the system receives receipt data from the Ministry of Finance, it checks whether the receipt date falls within the range you've set.
Channel restriction
Once a customer enters their receipt number and purchase date, the system can look up the seller's tax ID, name, and address in the Ministry of Finance database — letting you match against whichever of these identifies the selling channel or branch (choose one).
Seller tax ID: restrict entry to specific stores using their tax ID
If you have only a few partner channels, or they're different types of channels, you can enter multiple tax IDs to match against.Seller name: restrict entry to specific stores using their name
If you're partnering with a single retail chain, or only running the promo through your own channel, you can verify against the seller name using a keyword match — a partial keyword is enough. For example, for a promo run across all RT-Mart branches, entering "RT-Mart" is enough.Seller address: restrict entry to receipts from a specific city or county
Common for region-specific promos — for example, "any receipt from a purchase in Chiayi County" — using a keyword match, entering "Chiayi" is enough.
E-invoice only — verification mode
We offer three ways to verify receipts — choose whichever fits your promo's reward design
1. Verify after entry
What it does:
Customers can register their receipt anytime, without waiting to see whether it's already available in the Ministry of Finance's system.
How it works:
The moment a receipt is registered, the system checks in real time whether the Ministry of Finance already has that receipt's details available. If so, it verifies eligibility immediately. If not, the system saves the receipt info with a "Pending Review" status.
For receipts marked "Pending Review," the system runs the verification process (requesting receipt details from the Ministry of Finance and checking them) 6 times a day, for up to 7 days — 42 attempts total per receipt. If it still can't retrieve the details after 42 attempts, verification stops.
When to use this mode:
✔ If your reward design draws winners via a lucky draw after the promo ends
*We recommend running the draw 3–4 days after the promo ends, so receipts registered on the last day have enough time to complete verification
✔ If your reward is promo points: once a receipt is verified, the system automatically calculates and awards points to the customer
✔ If your prize type is an instant-win e-voucher or e-commerce discount coupon (a type that can't be reclaimed once sent), the system automatically awards it to eligible customers once verification completes.
✖ Not a good fit for a prize game (such as Lucky Wheel, Prize Shower, Slot Game, Scratch Cards, or Pick a Prize) as your reward mode, since if the receipt isn't verified right away, the customer would need to come back to the promo page on their own, at some undetermined time, to check whether it's been approved before playing. That makes for an inconsistent experience that depends on the customer remembering to check back.
2. Real-time verification
What it does:
The system verifies the receipt the moment a customer registers it, and awards the reward immediately if it passes.
How it works:
The moment a receipt is registered, the system immediately requests the receipt details from the Ministry of Finance to verify it. If the Ministry of Finance has no record or doesn't respond, the system shows a message asking the customer to try registering again later.
When to use this mode:
✔ If returns are unlikely once a receipt is issued — for example, hotels, where the receipt is only given at check-in/check-out
✔ If you want customers to immediately play an instant-win game (such as Lucky Wheel, Prize Shower, Slot Game, Scratch Cards, or Pick a Prize) for their reward as soon as their receipt is eligible.
✔ If your prize type is an e-voucher, e-commerce discount coupon, or promo points (a type that can't be reclaimed once sent), it's awarded to eligible customers the moment verification passes.
✖ If your reward design draws winners via a lucky draw after the promo ends, there's no need for real-time verification at entry — we recommend using "Verify after entry" instead.
3. Pre-approved
What it does:
The moment a customer registers their receipt, the system treats it as having passed verification by default — regardless of actual eligibility, the customer can immediately claim their reward or entry into the prize game (instant win/prize game).
How it works:
The moment a receipt is registered, the system defaults it to "passed," letting the customer immediately play the prize game or claim their instant-win prize. The system still runs verification afterward — if the receipt turns out to be ineligible, its status automatically changes to "Failed," and that participant will no longer be able to see their prize screen.
When to use this mode:
✔ If you want customers to immediately play an instant-win game (such as Lucky Wheel, Prize Shower, Slot Game, Scratch Cards, or Pick a Prize) for a reward, regardless of whether the receipt is actually eligible yet. This mode is typically used when prizes are physically shipped, so you get a chance to double-check receipt eligibility before shipping anything out.
✖ Not suitable if your prize type is an e-voucher or e-commerce discount coupon — a type that can't be reclaimed once sent.
✖ This mode can't be used with promo points as the reward.
Setting up a receipt grace period
Open the Purchase Reward module, and on the right, find Receipt Eligibility Verification — the "Grace Period" option is at the bottom.
Click into it, turn it on, and enter the number of grace-period days!
Range: 0 to 31 days.
Common in Taiwan: a 7-day return window — you can set it to 7 days.
The system runs grace-period verification 1 day after the number of days you set
For example, if you set a 7-day grace period, the system verifies it on day 8
*The grace period is calculated from the date the receipt was issued — in other words, if you set it to 7 days, the system re-verifies 7 days after the receipt date.
*Once your promo is live, you can't turn off the grace-period feature, though you can still pause the promo to adjust the number of days.
2. Go to Prize Editing and, depending on your reward mode, turn on "Require grace period before prize can be used" in Prize Rules
*If this setting isn't turned on, the grace period won't actually apply — make sure to enable it!
3. How it shows in the Participant List
If grace-period verification passes, it shows "Grace Period Passed"
If grace-period verification fails, it shows "Returned"
4. What the customer sees
If a receipt fails grace-period verification, the customer sees a message saying "This prize can't be used until the grace period ends."
Conditional prize distribution setup guide
You can set matching prizes based on different products, quantities, or spend amounts
For example: 1 point per $100 spent on Item A, 1 point per $200 spent on Item B, a refill pack for Item C, or a coupon for Item D
[Step 1] First, build your item rules in eligibility verification
So the system can determine which item group each receipt belongs to, set up your item verification conditions first.
Tip:
Name your item groups clearly (e.g. "Fresh Milk 200ml," "Yogurt Line")
[Step 2] Go to Prize Editing and add all your prizes
[Step 3] Turn on "Conditional Prize Distribution"
[Step 4] Choose which prize maps to which item
Once you're done, the system automatically awards prizes based on the item you've set.
*Be sure to check the box, or the prize won't be able to go out!
