Web Push Overview

You've probably seen an ad banner or message pop up while browsing a website — sometimes on every page after you enter the site, and sometimes only after you stay on a specific page for a while, triggering a banner message related to that page or your behavior. That's the pop-up message feature.

Pop-up messages come in many formats, and clicking on one can trigger many different actions.

The web push feature built by Feversocial breaks down into the following four dimensions:

Display format:

Supports JPG, JPEG, PNG, and GIF image formats

  1. Icon (small)

  2. Top or bottom banner (medium)

  3. Banner image (large)

Where does a click lead to?

  1. A specified webpage URL

  2. Redirect to the promo page (a Feversocial promo page)

  3. Redirect to the promo page, restricted to only those who clicked through from this pop-up message

Where does it appear?

  1. Site-wide

  2. On specific pages

  3. When clicking through from a Multi Challenge task

When does it appear?

  1. As soon as the page loads

  2. Only after staying on the page for a specified amount of time
