How to Install a Web Push Pop-up

Feversocial provides a web push widget that makes it easy to promote your promo on your website.

Reminder! You must complete subdomain setup before you can use this feature. If your plan hasn't purchased the subdomain feature yet, please contact your sales representative.

1. Get the code (from the Feversocial dashboard)

  1. Go to the "Marketing Dashboard"

  2. Select "Web Push" on the left

  3. Click "Install Push Plugin" in the top right to see the code

  4. Set the install domain

    • Currently, each organizer dashboard can only set one domain

    • This domain must share the same origin as the subdomain bound to your dashboard
For example, if the subdomain you bound to your Feversocial dashboard is events.xxxyyy.com,
then the website you want the pop-up widget to appear on must also be under the xxxyyy.com domain.
For example: if your e-commerce site is shop.xxxyyy.com and your blog is news.xxxyyy.com,
and you want the pop-up to appear on both sites, you can simply set xxxyyy.com here

    • Reminder: xxxyyy.com and xxxyyy.com.tw are considered different domains!

  5. Get the code

    We offer two installation methods
Method 1: install the code directly in your website's <head> (this typically requires an engineer or your website vendor's help).
Method 2: GTM installation. If your website already has GTM installed, we recommend using the GTM installation method.
Once you've decided, you can get the corresponding code and start the installation

2. Install the code on your website

Install via GTM (recommended)

Prerequisite: if your website already has a GTM container, you can add the tag to that same GTM container. If not, we recommend creating a new GTM account with your Google account and installing the GTM tracking code on your website first. https://tagmanager.google.com/

To install the push plugin, follow the steps below

Log in to your GTM dashboard and click to add a new tag

*If your GTM is in English, add the new tag from the "Tags" section

  1. Once added, you can give this tag any name you like
just make it easy to identify and manage in your GTM list

  2. Under Tag configuration
click it, then choose Custom HTML

  3. Get the GTM code from the Feversocial dashboard

  4. Paste it into the Custom HTML block

  5. Under Triggering below, click to continue with setup

  6. Choose "All Pages"
this means the code can run on every page of any site where this GTM container is installed

  7. Save the tag

  8. Submit and publish in GTM
Finally, go back to the GTM list and you'll see the tag you just created — click Submit to publish it

Fill in a version name (required), then click "Publish" in the top right

Install directly on your website

You can have an engineer install the code from the dashboard directly into your website's <head> or right after <body>
