💡 What is automated form tracking?
Feversocial's form service is built for data-driven marketing promos — it doesn't just let you build forms, it also automates complex tracking and data collection behind the scenes. At its core, this feature makes sure that whenever a lead successfully submits a form, the system automatically records their ad source, behavior path, and related tracking IDs, solving the problem of marketers having no visibility into what happens at the "inquiry form" step.
✨ Why does this matter for your marketing business?
Full visibility into sources: every form submission automatically comes with UTM parameters and a referral URL attached, so sales or marketing can clearly see which ad or which page led a lead to submit the form.
GA/Facebook ad attribution: standard events are automatically sent to GA and the Facebook pixel, so your ad dashboards can directly and precisely count leads, helping you optimize your ad strategy.
Stronger sales intelligence: by recording the GA Client ID, your sales team can trace back a user's browsing history before they submitted the form, giving deeper insight into a lead's needs and interests.
📊 Data Feversocial's forms automatically record and send
This requires that you've already set your GA4/Measurement ID and Facebook Pixel ID in the tracking settings section of the Feversocial dashboard.
Tracked item | Purpose | Where the data comes from & how it's used |
GA event | Tracks the total number of form submissions. | Sends the fever_form_submit event to your GA4 — the event count equals your successful submissions. |
Facebook pixel event | Tracks Facebook ad Lead conversions. | Sends the Facebook standard event Lead, which you can add directly as a column in your Facebook ads report. |
UTM parameters | Tracks each individual submitter's ad source. | The form report automatically records every UTM parameter from the URL (like utm_source), so you can analyze the ad attribution behind each lead. |
Referral URL | Tracks each individual submitter's page before submitting. | The report records the URL of the page a visitor was on before submitting — useful when your form is embedded across multiple landing pages. |
GA Client ID | Tracks each individual submitter's browsing path. | Records the anonymous cookie Google uses to track visitors, letting your sales team look up a user's detailed browsing history in GA (requires special setup within GA). |
🛠️ Feversocial Form Service | Automated Tracking Setup Guide
Most of Feversocial's form tracking is built-in and automatic — you mainly need to complete two steps: tracking ID setup and checking your reports.
Step 1: Set up your GA and Facebook pixel tracking IDs (prerequisite)
To enable automatic event sending, you'll first need to embed your tracking IDs in the platform.
Log in to the Feversocial dashboard.
Go to the "Tracking Settings" or "Website Data Integration" page.
GA4 setup: paste in your GA4/Measurement ID.
Facebook Pixel setup: paste in your Facebook Pixel ID.
Step 2: Confirm and set the tracking scope for your form event
Go to your form promo's editor page.
Confirm the form is enabled and published on your target page, or embedded in your landing page.
The system will automatically fire the fever_form_submit (GA) and Lead (Facebook) events — no additional manual event setup is needed.
Step 3: View submitter data in your report
All the data tracked automatically will be included in your form report's downloadable file.
Go to the Feversocial form service dashboard > select your target form.
Click "Download."
In the downloaded report file, you'll see these additional columns:
[Column]: records the full set of UTM parameters (like utm_source, utm_campaign).
[Column]: records the referral URL.
[Column]: records the GA Client ID.
Step 4: View total counts in GA4 and Facebook reports
GA4 report: log in to GA4, go to "Reports" > "Engagement" > "Events," and you'll see the total count for the fever_form_submit event.
Facebook report: log in to Facebook Ads Manager, and add the "Lead" conversion metric as a column in your ad report to view the total number of submissions.
Important: if you want to use the GA Client ID to look up a user's browsing history, this requires additional setup within GA. If you need this, please contact our support or technical team.
