3 key factors to consider before choosing a plan
1. Does your brand run promos frequently, or only occasionally?
Annual plan: run unlimited promos over a full year — best for brands that want to run online interactive promos every month or every quarter
Quarterly plan: run unlimited promos within a quarter — best for brands with a short burst of frequent promos, like Black Friday, 11/11, 12/12, or the holiday season
Single promo: limited to one module, with a promo running no longer than 30 days — best for brands running a single seasonal promo, like a Lunar New Year promotion
2. Roughly how many monthly visitors does your brand's store get?
Current e-commerce plans are split into three participant-count tiers
Small Business Plan: 1,000 participants/month
Professional E-Commerce Plan: 6,000 participants/month
Enterprise E-Commerce Plan: unlimited participants
What does "total participants" mean?
What does "total participants" mean?
This refers to the combined number of participants across every promo that month. For example:
Brand A purchases a 1,000-participant annual plan and plans two Mother's Day promos in May, with the following results
Product Recommendation Personality Quiz: 500 participants
Slot Machine game: 300 participants
Total: 800 participants, which fits within the 1,000-participant plan
How do I estimate my expected promo participant count?
How do I estimate my expected promo participant count?
The golden formula: promo page traffic × participation conversion rate = estimated participant count
You can use a 30%-50% participation conversion rate to estimate your expected participant count (note: 30%-50% is based on our historical average — your entry requirements and how compelling your incentive is can still affect the overall conversion rate)
For example, if your site gets about 5,000 monthly visitors, and you run a promo and promote it on your site, you could expect roughly 1,500-2,500 promo participants
Promo traffic sources
Owned traffic:
For example, an EDM sent to 50,000 members with a 1% open rate → roughly 500 visits to the promo page.
External traffic:
For example, an ad reaching 100,000 people with a 10% click-through rate → roughly 10,000 visits to the promo page.
Participation conversion rate
Based on our experience, this runs roughly 30%-50%, since not everyone who lands on the promo page ends up participating.
Let's run the numbers
Estimated promo page traffic: 10,500 visits
Participation conversion rate: 50%
10,500 × 0.5 = 5,250 participants👉 best fits the Professional E-Commerce Plan (6,000 participants)
⚠️ Important note: if your promo allows daily participation (like a daily check-in or scratch card), participant counts will accumulate quickly, and you may need the Enterprise E-Commerce Plan instead.
3. Modules and advanced features also affect which plan you need
The Professional E-Commerce Plan & Enterprise E-Commerce Plan unlock access to special modules
Professional E-Commerce Plan: Multi Challenge, Order Registration
Enterprise E-Commerce Plan: New Member Reward
Advanced features (Enterprise E-Commerce Plan only)
E-commerce coupon redemption monitoring: track whether coupons distributed through your promo get used, with analytics reporting.
Member registration date check: pairs with the New Member Reward module to restrict participation to newly registered members only
Promo tagging: supports 3 types of tags
Completed promo: tagged as soon as someone completes participation
Choice tag: for modules with selectable options, like a personality quiz or survey — tags which option a member chose
Result tag: for modules with different outcomes, like a personality quiz or Q&A Classroom — tags a member's quiz result
Download tag and member data: once tagged, you can download this alongside member IDs as an Excel file, and manually import it into Shopline afterward
Webhook data push: if you want promo data and tag data pushed automatically into your own database, we provide a webhook feature and documentation so you can integrate it yourself
