Invoice Registration | Writing Promo Rules Guide

Invoice Registration promo rules: explanation and examples

Feversocial provides the verification mechanism for the Ministry of Finance's e-invoice system, but it's your company (brand) that actually uses the Invoice Registration module. So we want to remind you to clearly state in your promo rules how you use and protect consumer data, to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and build consumer trust.

To help your company (brand) clearly communicate to consumers how their invoice data will be used, we've added a checkbox to the invoice registration interface. The system default text reads: "I understand that the invoice information I provide will only be used to verify my eligibility for this promo, and will not be used for any other purpose." (see image below)

*Organizer name: this can't be changed once you're on a plan — please contact support if you need it changed.

*Company name: go to Organizer Settings >> Basic Information in your dashboard, and add or edit the company name field at the bottom.

How to edit the checkbox text

If your company plans to make further use of the invoice registration data (such as invoice line-item details), you'll need to adjust the default text to make sure consumers are informed of and agree to that use.

Here are some example edits you can adapt to your promo's needs:

  • Example 1: Marketing and promotion use
I understand that the invoice information I provide will be used to verify my eligibility for this promo, and may also be used after the promo for marketing and promotion of [Brand Name]'s products or services.

  • Example 2: Consumer behavior analysis (anonymized)
I understand that the invoice information I provide will be anonymized and used for [Brand Name]'s consumer behavior analysis, to improve products and services. The analysis results are for internal reference only and will not reveal my personal identity.

*The above are examples only — please be sure to adapt them to your promo's specific needs!

One more reminder

Make sure your promo rules match your actual practices

  • If invoice data is only used for promo verification, keep the system default text.

  • If you plan to use it further, revise the text to make sure consumers are clearly informed and give their consent.

Provide a clear privacy policy

  • If your promo involves further use of invoice data, we recommend including a link to your privacy policy page on the promo page as well, for greater transparency.

Build consumer trust

  • We recommend briefly explaining the security and use of invoice data on the promo page or in the FAQ, so consumers feel more comfortable participating.

After the promo ends, make sure the data is handled properly

  • If the data is used for marketing or analysis, make sure it complies with personal data protection laws, and provide a channel for consumers to make inquiries.
